So, this post may make some people roll their eyes or whatever, but I'm just gonna put everything out there because I want to help others I guess.

Don't go along with the ignorance.

I suffer from Anxiety and Depression. Talking about my mental illness helps me get stronger because I can hear how other people have dealt with it and I know I'm not alone.

This year, I started University and let me tell you, it is very different from college. Well, it is for me anyway. I am studying from home via the internet as my parents cannot afford to send two children into Launceston to study.

Today, however, the stress got the better of me. I woke up feeling dizzy, shaky and with a pounding headache. I just thought it was due to the fact I was due for my morning pill that helps me with my Anxiety and Depression. However throughout the day it got progressive worse. In the end, when my mother was trying to help me understand a case study I am getting assessed on, I broke down in tears and ran to my bedroom. My mum came in later and we had a talk. I was basically stressed because I don't want to fail Uni. Its stress I have put on myself, without even realising.

I guess the point to this post is, if you think you need a break or you're not coping, say something. There's nothing wrong saying you have bitten off more than you can chew. Its better to realise it and deal with the issue than let it bubble away and become a bigger problem.

To be able to learn and move forward in life, you have to be in a good state of mind and body. That doesn't mean you have to be able to run a mile or whatever, it just means you are happy within yourself and you're not stressed or sad or whatever. You have to be happy so you can enjoy life. Life is meant to be enjoyed and I think people forget that sometimes due to the fact that we spend 12 years at school and then if people go to college that's another 2 years. Then, if you want a certain job you have to go to University which adds another 3 years on, so in the end you are at school for nearly 17 years. That isn't even the hardest part yet, you have to then find a job in a country where unemployment is rising.

Anyway, I'm rambling, the main goal of this post was, if you feel like you are not in a good mind and body or you are stressed, get help or take some load off your plate. There's nothing wrong with that. We live in a very negative world and so its easy to get sucked down by it. Only you can know if you are handling something or not, so take lead in something you can control.
